The POR FESR grant enabled the renovation and expansion of the accommodation capacity of the B&B zia Marisa.
The intervention was aimed at the anti-seismic consolidation of the entire building and its energy upgrading. In particular, the pre-existing building, which was in a precarious static condition, has been completely recovered from a functional point of view, so much so that it can be classified, upon completion, in seismic risk class A and energy qualification class A. The entire building is heated and served with hot water by a thermal power plant fuelled by biomass (wood chips) that come solely from the annual cleaning of the property's forests. The building was also equipped with a significant photovoltaic system that contributes to making it more than 88% independent of traditional energy sources.

The functional recovery of all the building's rooms has made it possible to increase the facility's receptivity from one to three double rooms, all of which are large enough to accommodate 11 people at the same time in accordance with DGR 419 of 31/05/2015.

The energy efficiency of the building will allow significant savings in the running of the facility even in the winter months, so that the bed and breakfast will be open all year round.
